- Required clinical hours are scheduled at local nursing facilities and may vary from classroom hours.
Additional Requirements
- Students must be at least 16 years old to take this class.
- Students must complete 100 hours of nurse assistant curriculum to be eligible to sit for the Massachusetts Certified Nurse Assistant Exam.
- Students must sign and be able to perform the requirements within the Technical Standards http://community.northshore.edu/programs/xcn/program_technical_standards
- In order to stay current those working in the field must update their CPR/AED certification every two years.
Advising Notes
This program is intended to prepare a student for the Massachusetts Certified Nurse Assistant Exam. Upon scoring high enough on this exam, a student is eligible for entry level employment as a nurse assistant.

Students who successfully complete this course will also receive a Home Health Aide Certificate, Hand in Hand Dementia Certification, and CPR Certification.
