RAD101 Principles of Radiologic Technology 1
This course provides an introduction to the radiologic technology profession including the discovery of x-rays, the use of radiation for medical diagnoses, regulatory agencies, and radiation safeguards. This course will discuss the computer networks associated with medical imaging as well as the other modalities within a radiology department. The course covers the science of x-ray production, as well as factors that affect x-ray and image quality. This course will also introduce the student to the various components of digital imaging equipment and how digital images are generated.
