DDX104 Theories and Case Studies in Dual Diagnosis
This course will utilize case studies and classroom treatment team replication in reviewing clinical/case management approaches in working with clients who are dually diagnosed. Specific treatment difficulties and interventions for clients with major mental illness and personality disorders/substance dependence will be reviewed. Emphasis will be placed upon case study discussions with clients at different levels of the treatment continuum. The role of families in mental health, addictive disorders will be reviewed.
