Graduation Information

A formal graduation exercise is held annually at the end of the spring semester for associate degrees and certificates. The exercise in May is held for students who are completing degree requirements during that spring semester, who have completed requirements during the preceding summer or fall semesters, or who will complete the final 6 semester credit hours or less required for graduation during the next summer term. To participate in the graduation exercise, the student must submit an application for graduation to the Office of Admissions and Records no later than the date published in the calendar. Students may graduate under the catalog and programs in effect at the time of their initial enrollment as long as they have had continuous enrollment. Missing one regular semester constitutes a break in enrollment and students will be required to adhere to the catalog and programs in effect at the time of their re-enrollment (see RETURNING STUDENTS). Students also have the choice of graduating under the catalog and programs in effect at the time of graduation. Students must choose one or the other and may not combine rules or programs from two or more catalogs.
