SOC 673 Survey of the Biopsychosocial Aspects of Drug Use
(3-0-3) This course provides students with a more in-depth examination of many classifications of drugs, and students will learn the biological, psychological, and social aspects of using each type of drug. In this course, students will also explore drug policy issues, specifically the role of pharmaceutical companies, government/legal interventions, policing of drug use, and some unintended consequences of drug laws and initiatives.
