EC 336 Social & Emotional Development & Guidance in ECE

Cross-listed with SPED 336. This course involves the study of classroom management, motivation, building self-esteem, and positive discipline strategies. Students will learn about the cultural influences on child behavior, both typical and atypical. Students have opportunities to apply these techniques with groups of preschool to grade 3 children, and are encouraged to take this course when they will also be taking a field experience. Educators who will be teaching in birth to third grade classrooms. (CCN Course)
