DTH.3001 Dance Pedagogy
This course explores educational theories and best practices for dance teachers that can be applied in any classroom or studio. Students will develop a tool kit of teaching approaches, lesson plans, and professional standards to draw from while teaching, which serves the diverse educational needs of students in any dance class. Students will be introduced to a myriad of teaching environments such as different age groups, classrooms, studios, styles of dance and techniques. Upon completion of this course, students will feel confident pursuing teaching opportunities.
