Not for profits have played an increasingly important role in our society. This class provides students with an understanding of the basics of the not-for-profit organization. Topics covered will include the role of not for profits in society, laws related to not for profits, management structures, operations, finances and comparisons with for-profits. Class work will include research about not for profits, class discussions of current not-for-profit issues, and group projects.
