NUR 5140 Advanced Family Nurse Practitioner II
This is the second in a series of three Advanced Family Nursing Practice courses. AFNP-II mainly focuses on the adult population with non-complex common primary care problems. This course aims to prepare Family Nurse Practitioner students for delivery of primary care to the adult population. This course and its required practicum hours will provide introduction to primary care and opportunities for FNP students to learn how to promote health and prevent illnesses, and to diagnose, treat, and manage conditions in primary care. The FNP student will need to successfully complete 180 clinical hours in adult health settings and also pass NUR5140S: Advanced Family Nursing Practice Seminar II in order to be successful in NUR-5140 Advanced Family Nursing Practice-II.
