EDU 5632 Reading Reform Foundation Of Ny Practicum I
This course is offered through the Rose Institute for Learning and Literacy. This practicum is based on the experience of Reading Reform Foundation of New York in providing instruction and mentoring to classroom teachers directly in their classrooms. The practicum reinforces with the classroom teacher/participant an approach that is a phonetic, total language-arts program, employing multisensory techniques of teaching reading, writing, and spelling. This philosophy and method are described in the book, The Writing Road to Reading, by Romalda Spalding. The prerequisite course is 'The Writing Road to Reading 1', which introduces the Spalding method.
