HIS5125 EUROPEANS AND AMERICANS THROUGH AFRICAN EYES
Most of the literature about the relations between Africans and Westerners is about the West's views. Therefore little is known about what Africa and Africans think about Europe. This is due partly to the fact that most scholars rely heavily on European and American materials, and partly to an unconscious Europecentered perspective. This course addresses the issue of how Africans viewed Europe and North America through time.
