EDAD 5014 Human Resources and Personnel Management

This course is designed to provide an overview of the Human Resources (HR) role in educational administration. Concepts covered in class will review all aspects of HR from the determination of positions to discipline and discharge. Students will be exposed to the state and federal regulations they may encounter in any administrative position. Since education is heavily laden with the challenges of working with various types of employees, this course provides a broad lens to view those challenges. Moving a district forward and changing paradigms are tasks worth undertaking in order to have an effective school district. The skills learned in this course will assist new administrators in tackling those challenges.
