Credit by Certification
A student who has been certified by a State Agency for a specific vocation may receive Credit by Certification even though he/she has not earned the college credit. In order to receive the credit, the student must make a written petition to the department chair. The department chair of the specific vocational area must determine if the student meets the requirements for such credit prior to granting it. If the department chair determines the student meets the requirements, a written recommendation is made to the appropriate Dean. The request is forwarded to the Vice President for Instruction & Student Services for final approval. If approved, the Vice President for Instruction & Student Services sends the credit recommendations to the Enrollment & Registration Services Center for processing.
