ES 231 Nature of Engineering Materials
Nature and properties of metals, ceramics, polymers, and other materials in engineering applications. Interpretation of the mechanical, physical, and chemical properties from the viewpoint of scientific disciplines. Offered as an elective for physics and chemistry majors. Lecture/recitation/laboratory. Students may not receive credit for both ES 231 and ES 232.
