BIOL 342 Restoration Ecology
This course is designed to give students an overview of the natural and social elements of ecological restoration. We will examine the entire process of restoration: goal setting, planning, implementation, experimentation and monitoring, adaptive restoration, and communication of results. We will cover the ecological foundations of restoration for populations, communities and ecosystems, and students will apply ecological theory to restoration practice by considering case studies and engaging in problem-based learning and field investigations.
