MATH 5794 MATHEMATICAL FOUNDATIONS OF LARGE LANGUAGE MODELS
This course introduces MS Data Analytics students to the mathematical foundations and algorithmic principles underlying large language models (LLMs) and their applications in text analytics. Emphasizing formal derivations, probabilistic modeling, and optimization techniques, the course is designed for students with a strong mathematical background and is taught by a professor of mathematics. Students will explore the theoretical underpinnings of LLMs and apply them to real-world problems.
