A CONTINUATION OF CHEMICAL SYSTEMS I (STME 1401). A THOROUGH DISCUSSION OF THE BASIC PRINCIPLES OF GENERAL AND INORGANIC CHEMISTRY SUCH AS SOLID AND LIQUID STATES, SOLUTIONS, CHEMICAL KINETICS AND EQUILIBRIUM, ACID/BASE THEORIES, CHEMICAL THERMODYNAMICS AND ELECTROCHEMISTRY. MATHEMATICAL RELATIONSHIPS AND PROBLEM-SOLVING ARE STRESSED. INTEGRATED LABORATORY WILL INCLUDE ADVANCED VERSIONS OF CLASSICAL EXPERIMENTS AND AN INTRODUCTION TO MODERN INSTRUMENTATION.
