GEOS 1100 INTRO EARTH & GEOGRAPHICAL SYSTEMS
A STUDY OF THE EARTH SYSTEM FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF A COUPLED NATURAL AND HUMAN SYSTEM. EXAMINATION OF THE PHYSICAL NATURE OF THE SYSTEM COMPONENTS AND THEIR INTERACTIONS. FUNDAMENTAL SKILLS IN OBSERVATION, VISUALIZATION, QUANTITATIVE METHODS FOR DIAGNOSIS AND PREDICTION OF IMPACTS. THIS COURSE IS NO EQUIVALENT TO ES 1000. 3HRS LECTURE 3 HOURS LAB. PREREQ: MATH 1000
