EDMT 120 Basic Fluid Power

(Contact Hours: 3) This hands-on course teaches the fundamental concepts underlying utilization of fluids as conveyors of power for technicians and engineers. Basic circuit logic, function, design, documentation, and component applications for hydraulic and pneumatic systems are studied using theory and labs. PREREQUISITE: Writing and Reading -- minimum benchmarks will be enforced; Math -- SAT: 23.5, ALEKS: 14, Accuplacer (Arithmetic): 80, NextGen Accuplacer (Arithmetic): 260, ACT: 18, or COMPASS (Pre-Algebra): 50, or MATH 097 or MATH 106 or MATH 156 is REQUIRED.
