CIS 140 Intro to Cyber Security
(Contact Hours: 3) This course is an introduction to the risks and threats to an organization's data and presents a structured approach to safeguard these assets. Topics include information security planning, logical and physical security design, security plan implementation and administration, and legal and liability issues surrounding information systems. Students explore various system vulnerabilities and security threats and learn how to protect an organization against malicious attacks through processes that ensure confidentiality, availability, and data integrity. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of CIS 105 or CIS 115 is REQUIRED.
