Economics, AS

An Associate of Science degree in economics prepares a student to obtain a bachelor's and ultimately a graduate degree in economics. This degree places a heavy emphasis on the math background necessary to pursue further education. Economists work for firms, not-for-profits, governments, and international organizations. They employ qualitative and quantitative models to analyze and predict behavior in a wide variety of fields.

This program is designed for students who intend to transfer to a four-year college or university. Requirements may be updated prior to the start of the Fall 2024 semester. Students completing this program should consult a counselor or advisor to develop their degree plan and for registration advice.
