E. Vehicle Immobiliztion, Towing, and Relocation

  1. Franciscan University reserved the right to immobilize any vehicle parked in violation of the University's parking regulations at the owner's expense. Immobilization or towing and relocation (see below) of a vehicle may happen with no warning, even if the owner has no previous violations. Any vehicle that is parked illegally, parked in violation of University regulations or that must be moved for special events or maintenance is considered to be parked in violation of University regulations.
  2. In the event the vehicle is immobilized, the driver must contact Campus Security by calling 740-283-6319 or “0” so the device can be removed. DO NOT  ATTEMPT TO MOVE THE VEHICLE with the auto-boot in place. The University is not responsible for damage caused if the vehicle is moved with the auto-boot in place.
  3. In extreme cases, Franciscan University reserved the right to tow and relocate (to another campus site) any vehicle parked in violation of the University's parking regulations at the owner's expense. This includes, but is not limited to: emergency situations, blocking other vehicles, creating a safety hazard, or any other situation determined necessary.
