Smoking
"Smoking" is defined as the smoking of tobacco, other nicotine products, and/or smoking devices that expel a smoke or vapor; smoking includes, but is not limited to, use of cigarettes, electronic cigarettes and vapes, hookahs, cigars, and pipes. Smoking is prohibited in all campus buildings; at all athletic fields, facilities, and events; and in all University-owned or -leased vehicles. In addition, smoking is prohibited in the outdoor area between Starvaggi and Egan Halls and within 30 feet of any building entrance. Smoking is permitted in the gazebos near the residence halls. Possession of electronic and/or vapor devices is prohibited in all residence halls and university housing. Any student, staff, or faculty member who wants assistance to stop smoking can contact the Wellness Center for information on smoking cessation programs.
