Practicum and Internship Information
Prior to taking HSS 3980 Practicum: Theory and Practice of Human Service Studies or HSS 3981 Practicum Away: Theory and Practice of Human Service Studies, students must be approved by the Human Service Studies department. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.1 is required to be eligible for practicum.
Most of the other major requirements must be completed prior to taking HSS 4985. Students who enroll in HSS 4985 may not take any courses other than the prescribed block courses. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.2 is required to be eligible for internship. Applications for both practicum and internship must be completed by the spring semester prior to registration in order to enroll in these courses the following year. Applications are available online through a link on the Human Service Studies website.
