HIST 361 History of American Foreign Relations since 1914
U.S. foreign relations, primarily focusing on the period from World War I to the present. U.S. military, diplomatic, economic, and cultural involvement in world affairs. Much of the course deals with the two world wars, the Cold War, and the Persian Gulf War, with emphasis on Woodrow Wilson and Franklin D. Roosevelt's postwar plans and their impact on twentieth-century American foreign relations and beyond. Attention will be given to America's economic, ideological, and cultural influence aboard.
