In addition to the 42 credits of program specific courses, Bachelor of Applied Science students must complete 18 credits from a single technical or academic concentration area. For students entering the program with a completed Associate of Science (AS) degree, this requirement is typically met with their AS program courses. Students entering the BAS program with a previously completed Associate of Arts will need a further 18 credits of concentration courses.
Concentration courses must be selected from a single technical or academic field, and are designed to deepen your understanding in a specialty area of study. The concentration classes, paired with the BAS management coursework, will prepare you to supervise, manage, and lead in your chosen field. For your specific requirements, be sure to meet with a Daytona State College Academic Advisor.
Possible concentrations include, but are not limited to:
- Project Management
- General Business Management
- Human Resource Management (coming 2019)
- Supply Chain Management (coming 2019)
- Associate of Science degree coursework
- Other concentrations on case by case basis
