RUS 101 ELEMENTARY RUSSIAN I
An introduction to Russian for students with little or no prior knowledge of the language. Students will develop foundational skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, and learn common vocabulary and basic grammatical structures for everyday communication. Topics include greetings and introductions, family, home, clothing, education, personal background, and daily activities. Through poetry, music, and popular culture, the course introduces the geography and cultural and linguistic diversity of global Russophone communities.
