HIS 478 ANDEAN IMMIGRATION & MIGRATION

An exploration of economic and environmental forces that propelled emigration to the Andes from Europe, Africa, and Asia. Forced labor drafts, agricultural frontiers, land reform, and armed conflicts drive internal and regional migration. Immigrants, migrants, and out-migration continue to shape Peru, Bolivia, and Chile’s interconnected economies and environments.
