ROGUE STATES

This senior seminar explores relationships between the author, the reader, and the state. Reading theories of power, surveillance, and precarity, we ask how people, texts, and nations come to be considered dangerous. Authors may include Hannah Arendt, Michel Foucault, Judith Butler, J. M. Coetzee, Bandi, Solmaz Sharif, Karina Sainz Borgo, and Omar el Akkad.
