CHM 303 BIOCHEMISTRY I: BIOMOLECULES

A study of biomolecules at the sub-cellular level, exploring the structure and function of amino acids, proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, and nucleic acids. The roles of these biomolecules in membrane transport and signal transduction pathways will also be considered. Laboratory sessions will include further exploration of topics discussed during class.

Open to junior and senior majors in chemistry and biochemistry, and to others with permission of the instructor.
