BOT 493S UNDERSTANDING INVASIVE SPECIES

How does a species become invasive? How can we reconcile the impacts of invasive species on ecological communities and ecosystems, while acknowledging the harmful origins of invasive species terminology? The course addresses these questions and more, through critical analysis of foundational literature in invasion biology and other relevant research from an interdisciplinary perspective.
