ACC 242 INTERMEDIATE ACCOUNTING
This course serves as a rigorous bridge between introductory accounting mechanics and professional financial intelligence. Moving beyond the "how-to" of recording transactions, students will focus on the synthesis and evaluation of financial data to build sophisticated, forward-looking financial models. The course is structured as a practitioner’s workshop. Each week, two hours of theoretical content delivery are paired with two hours of intensive lab work. Utilizing the Bloomberg Terminal, students will conduct deep-tier research on a publicly traded company of their choice, culminating in a fully integrated, three-sheet financial forecast. To support this high-level work, the course replaces traditional textbooks with primary sources (FASB Codification, SEC EDGAR, and Bloomberg Intelligence) and integrates a suite of Custom AI Tutors designed to provide 24/7 coaching in accounting theory, Excel architecture, and professional communication.
