PHI 330E MAJOR TEXTS: WITTGENSTEIN

The development of Wittgenstein's work from the Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus to the Philosophical Investigations and On Certainty, with particular attention to Wittgenstein's contributions to metaphysics, his philosophy of language and his attitudes towards the nature of philosophy itself. Readings will also include work by Russell, Anscombe, Kripke, and other contemporary writers.
