POL 120 Introduction to Political Ideologies
An introduction to the major political ideologies. Students learn the beliefs and history of such ideologies as conservatism, liberalism, socialism, libertarianism, environmentalism, etc. The foundations of these views are traced through classic political texts. The current versions of these ideologies are investigated by applying the ideologies to issues and politicians of today. Students learn the basic elements of today's political beliefs and values, and how these drive governments around the world.
