EE 433 Power Operations and System Planning
This course examines the modern operation control and system planning of power systems. It begins with a review of linear algebra and optimization theory. In addition, the various power flow solutions, techniques, and considerations are studied. The course then explores topics including generating unit characteristics, mathematical programming, power system economic operations, economic dispatch, and unit commitment. Two hours lecture and two hours laboratory.
