EE 410 Electromagnetic Interference and Compatibility

This course covers the principles of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and interference (EMI) in electrical and electronic systems. Topics include electromagnetic noise sources and coupling, design strategies to reduce EMI, circuit layout, shielding, grounding, and filtering techniques. Regulatory standards and compliance requirements are also addressed. Students gain practical skills in identifying noise sources and applying proven methods to ensure system EMC. Three hours lecture.
