MIS 4335 Large Scale Distributed Processing

Companies today have access to a large amount of data, some of which, may be unstructured that is not well
suited for traditional relational database management systems (RDBMS). This course deals with the issues
related to working with large datasets in massively parallel distributed environments. Students will have the
opportunity to work with powerful distributed data processing applications such as Hadoop and MapReduce.
