EDUC 4305 Teaching Apprenticeship Seminar
This course is designed to examine the experiences, issue s, and challenges that occur during the teaching apprenticeship. The various TExES Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities (PPR) competencies will be examined and discussed in view of their applicability to the knowledge and skills required of the beginning teacher. Students enroll in this course concurrently with a semester-long student teaching placement under the supervision of a certified teacher and a university supervisor. This class must be taken in the last semester of the candidate’s program. This is a professional development course and requires admission to the Teacher Apprenticeship Program.
