SPA 320 THE CINEMA OF PEDRO ALMODÓVAR

A survey of the cinema of internationally recognized Spanish film director Pedro Almodóvar.  Through a close reading of his main films informed by a theoretical framework from film studies, psychoanalysis, and gender studies, among others, this course provides an introduction to his innovative cinematic approach. Films are in Spanish with English subtitles.
