PHI 330S SUSANNE K. LANGER'S PHILOSOPHY
An exploration of the work of Susanne K. Langer, who taught at Connecticut College from 1954 to 1962, and who made significant contributions in logic, philosophy of art, philosophy of mind, philosophy of biology, and other areas. The course examines Langer's relationship to other major currents of 20th century philosophy, such as process philosophy, neo-Kantianism, logical positivism, and American pragmatism.
Prerequisite
At least one other course in philosophy at the 100 level or 200 level, or permission of the instructor.
