PHI 330J MAIMONIDES GUIDE FOR PERPLEXED

The Guide for the Perplexed remains a seminal and influential work of religious rationalism. We will study the book closely, including its context and its subsequent influence, with emphasis on its controversial positions in metaphysics, epistemology, and ethics, and special focus on subjects such as God's nature, miracles, prophecy, theodicy, and the relationship between religious belief and philosophy.
