LA 105 DESIGNING OUR WORLD

An exploration of the ways in which the field of design affects our everyday lives. Emphasis on how everyday objects, clothing, media campaigns, architecture, technology, and furniture shape the human experience and how design relates to globalization, sustainability, and urbanization.  The course examines how design has developed and changed from the early twentieth century to the present, focusing on the role of the designer and with a particular emphasis on documentary films.
