An examination of the problem of elder maltreatment, including abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation. The course explores aspects of social research, policy, and practice as they relate to maltreatment within the community and in facilities (e.g., nursing homes). The course considers assessment strategies, public policy response, and prevention related to maltreatment in the U.S.
