HIS 313 THE AMERICAN WEST SINCE 1890

A readings course that explores the history of the American West in the post-frontier era. Topics include the emergence of the conservation movement, the Dust Bowl and the New Deal, tourism, World War II, the Red Power movements, the rise of the New Right, urbanization, and the nuclear weapons industry.
