HIS 230 GLOBAL UPRISINGS OF 1968-69

In 1968 and 1969, rebellions erupted around the world to an extent never seen before—or since. This course compares fifteen mass movements in six continents that sought liberation from racism, colonialism, militarism, patriarchy, capitalism, and homophobia. Students will analyze how these two years changed the world we live in and what lessons they offer to those seeking systemic change today.
