GIS 202D THE MUSLIM WORLD

An introduction to the idea of "The Muslim World," Islam and Muslim communities in a global framework, with an emphasis on politics and social science scholarship. Topics include transnational Islamic movements, Muslim migration, citizenship, and ethnic religious conflict, as well as competing conceptions of human rights in Muslim thought and society in Europe, North America, and Muslim majority nations.
