FYS 1090 FREE WILL AND THE HUMAN BRAIN

Do we have free will? Are our choices predetermined by our genes and environment? Can the answer to both of those questions be “yes”? Students will explore what drives choice and human behavior primarily through research in psychology and neuroscience, and examine the implications of these findings in other domains including philosophy, law, and social justice.
