FYS 1077 HOW TO CHANGE THE WORLD

Climate catastrophe right here and now, the threat of nuclear armageddon, the implosion of the "American Dream": the list of woes is long and hard and pretty easy for lots of people to ignore (which is part of the reason we are at this societal inflection point). Why care? Why try? Why work to make our world better? Through reading and listening, exploring and sharing, experimenting and acting, this seminar looks head-on at the big problems facing all of us and explores the change – small and existential and essential – that we can make together. Taught by peace activist, writer, and community organizer Frida Berrigan.
