FYS 1061 WELCOME TO NEW LONDON

A study of the history of New London from the 19th century to present, critically examining how economic industries, geographic location, resident demographics, and physical infrastructure affect New Londoners today. This investigation is based on principles of asset-based community engagement and restorative justice. Students will participate in walking tours, as well as conversations with city officials and important community members. A community engagement placement is a required component of this course.
