FYS 1059 SPORT IN AMERICA

An exploration of the nature and history of sport as a national passion and obsession. Students will also approach the study of sport with local and global perspectives in mind. The course provides a critical analysis of sport, helping students foster an understanding of social issues associated with sport in our society and sport as a social phenomenon.
